In an official statement, Tajikistan reported that the strike occurred on the night of November 26, 2025<\/strong> at a workers\u2019 camp operated by LLC Shohin SM<\/em>. The camp was located near the Istiqlol Border Guard Post<\/strong> in the Khatlon region.<\/p>\n

Officials said the assault was carried out using an unmanned aerial vehicle equipped with grenades and firearms<\/strong>, killing three Chinese employees instantly.<\/p>\n

According to AFP, militant groups remain active across the rugged 1,350-kilometer border<\/strong> shared by the two countries. Tajikistan\u2014a Muslim-majority nation and one of Central Asia\u2019s poorest\u2014has voiced growing concern over extremist spillover since the Taliban regained power in 2021.<\/p>\n

President Emomali Rakhmon has openly criticized the Taliban and urged them to respect the rights of ethnic Tajiks, who make up roughly 25% of Afghanistan\u2019s population<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
