KARACHI (HRNW) \u2013 The maximum temperature in Karachi was recorded at 40.1 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, while stronger-than-usual sea winds and dusty conditions affected various parts of the city.<\/p>\n
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, wind speeds reached up to 25 nautical miles per hour, equivalent to around 45 kilometers per hour, with winds blowing from the southwest sea direction.<\/p>\n
Dusty winds were reported in most areas of Karachi, while humidity levels remained around 34 percent. Due to the lower humidity ratio, the heat index was recorded at approximately 35 degrees Celsius.<\/p>\n
The Meteorological Department stated that unusually strong sea breezes are likely to continue in the city tomorrow as well.<\/p>\n
Earlier, weather officials had forecast hot and humid conditions in Karachi, warning that humidity levels between 55 and 65 percent could make temperatures feel significantly higher than the actual reading.<\/p>\n
The department had predicted that the maximum temperature in the city could reach around 39 degrees Celsius.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, weather across most districts of Sindh is expected to remain hot, very hot, and dry. However, due to intense heat and moisture in the atmosphere, light rain accompanied by gusty winds and isolated thunderstorms is expected in districts including Dadu, Larkana, Sukkur, and Ghotki.<\/p>\n
