Washington (HRNW) \u2013 Pakistan\u2019s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, has said that after the \u201cBattle of Haq,\u201d Pakistan has emerged as a major force for regional stability not only in defense but also on diplomatic and political fronts, adding that the country\u2019s reputation and prestige in the international community have significantly increased.<\/p>\n
In an exclusive interview marking one year since the Battle of Haq, the Pakistani ambassador said that Pakistan acted as a responsible state at every stage of the situation.<\/p>\n
Referring to the Pahalgam incident, he stated that Islamabad had demanded an immediate and transparent investigation, but India chose the path of aggression by making allegations without presenting evidence.<\/p>\n
Rizwan Saeed Sheikh said that despite rising tensions, Pakistan demonstrated political wisdom, diplomatic prudence, and military maturity, which further strengthened its position on the global stage.<\/p>\n
He added that although Pakistan\u2019s defense spending is considerably lower than India\u2019s, the country\u2019s true strength lies in its modern defense strategy, national unity, and the determination of its people.<\/p>\n
The ambassador emphasized that Pakistan presented its case before the world through facts, patience, and prudence rather than emotions, due to which, he said, the weaknesses in the Indian narrative have become exposed in the age of global and social media.<\/p>\n
He further stated that Pakistan continues to demand concrete evidence regarding the Pulwama and Pahalgam incidents, while the international community is also awaiting answers to the same questions.<\/p>\n
Discussing the Indus Waters Treaty, the ambassador clarified that there is no provision in the agreement that allows its unilateral suspension.<\/p>\n
