Expressing grave concern, Khalid highlighted that over 900,000 bags of wheat\u2014valued at approximately Rs. 13 billion\u2014have disappeared from Karachi&#8217;s warehouses due to what he termed the &#8220;complete incompetence and corruption&#8221; of the Sindh government.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"2\">During the visit, Khalid pointed out that this follows a previous scandal involving Rs. 17 billion worth of missing wheat. He asserted that the corrupt system in Sindh, entrenched for over 18 years, allows officials to embezzle taxpayer-funded resources while the general public suffers from hunger and inflation.<\/p>\n<hr data-path-to-node=\"3\" \/>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"4\"><b data-path-to-node=\"4\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Key Allegations and Demands:<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"5\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"5,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Massive Financial Loss:<\/b> Arslan Khalid claimed that every year, up to Rs. 200 billion worth of wheat is lost to embezzlement across Sindh. He noted that over Rs. 100 billion worth of wheat has either been stolen or allowed to rot in warehouses statewide.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"5,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Systemic Corruption:<\/b> He accused the provincial government of reappointing corrupt officers to facilitate a &#8220;organized conspiracy&#8221; to devour public resources. He also mentioned that workers at the Malir warehouses are being deprived of their salaries while top officials loot billions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5,2,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"5,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Demand for Accountability:<\/b> PTI has demanded a transparent investigation into the disappearance of the 900,000 bags from Karachi.
