Karachi (HRNW)- Syed Murad Ali Shah, in his special message on the occasion of World Malaria Day, has said that malaria is a treatable disease, from which precious lives can be saved through timely diagnosis and precautions. He said that malaria is not just a common fever but can also prove fatal if neglected. According to the Sindh Chief Minister, the aim of this day is to create awareness among the public against this disease and promote preventive measures.<\/p>\n
Murad Ali Shah said that the Sindh government is committed to the complete eradication of malaria from the province and for this purpose the Health Department has been directed to further intensify the anti-malaria campaign. He urged the citizens to take special care of cleanliness in their homes and surroundings so that mosquitoes do not breed, while in case of symptoms of malaria, they should immediately consult the nearest government hospital where free diagnosis and treatment facilities are available.<\/p>\n
The Chief Minister said that the use of mosquito nets and adopting other preventive measures is the best way to prevent this disease. He also directed the Local Government Department to further tighten the schedule of drain cleaning and disinfectant spraying. He paid tribute to the health workers serving on the frontline in the fight against malaria and said that providing a healthy and safe environment to future generations is the top priority of the government. Finally, the Sindh Chief Minister said that we have to defeat malaria together so that the foundation of a healthy society can be laid.<\/p>\n
