Lahore (HRNW)- The Institute for Public Opinion Research (IPOR) has released a public survey report based on the two-year performance of the Punjab government, in which public satisfaction has been expressed with the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.<\/p>\n
According to the survey, 69 percent of people expressed satisfaction with the leadership of the Punjab Chief Minister and described the development of the province as moving in the right direction. In the public opinion, 32 percent of people described the performance of the Chief Minister as \u201coutstanding\u201d while 31 percent described it as \u201cgood\u201d.<\/p>\n
According to the report, the majority of the youth also appeared to be impressed with the performance of the Punjab Chief Minister. The survey revealed that the Pakistan Muslim League (N) has gained 42 percent public popularity in Punjab.<\/p>\n
According to IPOR, 56 percent of people say that the popularity of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has increased with the launch of development projects, while 55 percent of people expressed their determination to vote for her based on her performance.<\/p>\n
The Chief Minister\u2019s \u201cSathra Punjab Program\u201d topped the list with 33 percent in the public survey, while women\u2019s welfare and protection (30 percent), public transport (29 percent) and education (27 percent) were also identified as prominent sectors. In addition, 26 percent of people identified law and order and 25 percent identified improvement in infrastructure.<\/p>\n
The survey included the opinions of a total of 7,000 citizens, of whom 50 percent were women and 50 percent were men. 69 percent of people between the ages of 18 and 40 expressed positive views about the Punjab government.<\/p>\n
According to the report, 65 percent of people described Punjab as moving in the right direction of development, while 56 percent expressed satisfaction with sanitation and local government services. 57 percent of the people surveyed belonged to rural areas while 43 percent were from urban areas.<\/p>\n
The IPOR survey also assessed public opinion on measures such as improving the sanitation system, reforms in health and education, relief from inflation, public transport, and the revival of Basant.<\/p>\n
