Addressing representatives of the legal and business communities, he urged lawyers to lead the mission for the restoration of the Constitution and the independence of the judiciary.<\/p>\n<hr data-path-to-node=\"2\" \/>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"3\"><b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Key Highlights from the Address at Mansoorah<\/b><\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4\">Speaking to officials from the Lahore High Court Bar Association, Lahore Bar, Pakistan Tax Bar Association, and the Pakistan International Business Forum, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman highlighted the following:<\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"5\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"5,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">State of the Justice System:<\/b> &#8220;Our justice system has become a putrid corpse. In this country, the wealthy can purchase justice, while the poor spend their entire lives being pushed from pillar to post in courts.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"5,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Constitutional Distortion:<\/b> He argued that self-serving amendments have disfigured the Constitution, destroying not just the judiciary but the entire administrative fabric of the country.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5,2,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"5,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Economic Injustice:<\/b> The JI chief pointed out a stark disparity in the tax system, where poor farmers, laborers, and the salaried class bear the entire burden, while capitalists and feudal lords remain untouched by accountability.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5,3,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"5,3,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Institutional Inertia:<\/b> He criticized the FBR, noting that over 25,000 employees sit idle in offices while millions are extracted daily from students and laborers through the petroleum levy.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-path-to-node=\"6\" \/>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"7\"><b data-path-to-node=\"7\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The &#8220;Badal Do Nizam&#8221; (Change the System) Movement<\/b><\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"8\">Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman called upon the legal fraternity to take action:<\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\" data-path-to-node=\"9\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"9,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Lawyers&#8217; Role:<\/b> He urged lawyers to rise for the mission of constitutional restoration and the rule of law.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"9,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Defeating the Mafias:<\/b> He stated that power has been seized by mafias who have abolished accountability, and no government can face these challenges without public support.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9,2,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"9,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Movement Objective:<\/b> The core points of JI\u2019s &#8220;Badal Do Nizam&#8221; movement are the independence of the judiciary and the supremacy of the Constitution.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"10\"><b data-path-to-node=\"10\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Conclusion<\/b><\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"11\">Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman lamented that those who toy with the Constitution are often rewarded with high offices instead of being held accountable.
