Washington (HRNW)-\u00a0Pakistan\u2019s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, has highlighted Pakistan\u2019s pivotal role in achieving the recent ceasefire and negotiations between the US and Iran, calling it a victory for diplomacy and dialogue.<\/p>\n
Speaking to American media, the ambassador said that Pakistan\u2019s consistent positive and constructive diplomatic efforts over the past several weeks paved the way for this development. He thanked countries including Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, and China for their cooperation in making the ceasefire possible and facilitating negotiations.<\/p>\n
Rizwan Saeed Sheikh emphasized that Pakistan\u2019s role was purely as a facilitator, respecting the decision-making authority of the parties involved. He noted that consultations with Gulf leadership were also integral, considering that around 5.5 million Pakistanis reside in the Gulf countries.<\/p>\n
