Islamabad, Pakistan (HRNW) <\/b>Tensions escalated in the capital\u2019s Blue Area as a large number of protestors gathered to demonstrate against Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, the former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and senior leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (AJK). The demonstrators, victims of the ‘Taj Residencia’ housing scheme, allege that the project lacks both the required land and the official No Objection Certificate (NOC), despite millions of rupees being collected from the public.<\/p>\n

Affected individuals stated that they have been paying installments for over five years, yet they have not been allotted their promised plots. “We have paid our hard-earned money, but there is no sign of the land,” one protestor lamented. During the demonstration, angry victims attempted to storm ‘Sardar Plaza’ in the Blue Area to confront the management, but they were pushed back by private security personnel.<\/p>\n

Following the standoff, a massive sit-in was staged at the main entrance of the plaza, with a significant number of women joining the protest. The victims have vowed to expand the scale of their protests across the country if their plots are not provided immediately. “We will not let Sardar Tanveer Ilyas rest until justice is served,” the protestors declared.<\/p>\n
