KARACHI (HRNW)<\/b> \u2013 A young man from the Mari Pur, Yunus Abad area of Karachi, identified as Yasir Khan, was killed in a missile strike at the Port of Bandar Abbas, Iran. Despite five days passing since the fatal incident, his body has yet to be repatriated to Pakistan, leaving his family in a state of severe grief and mental departmental agony.<\/p>\n

Yasir Khan had been working on a tugboat for the past six months to support his family and was on duty on the night of March 23 when a missile strike hit the vessel at the Iranian port. The youngest of six siblings and the father of a three-year-old son, Yasir\u2019s sudden death has devastated his household and the local community. The family expressed deep frustration, stating that while they are already shattered by the loss of their loved one, the government’s perceived inaction regarding the return of his remains has only added to their suffering.<\/p>\n

According to the relatives, there has been no effective communication or clear diplomatic strategy from the federal government or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to facilitate the return of the body. While a Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh has reached out to the family and a request has been made to the Balochistan government to coordinate the transfer via the Taftan border, no concrete progress has been reported. The family has issued an urgent appeal to the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister to intervene on humanitarian grounds, ensuring that Yasir Khan’s body is returned to Pakistan immediately so he can be laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard.<\/p>\n
