The senior officer had been battling for his life at Liaquat National Hospital for several months after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds during a high-profile operation.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"2\">The incident occurred during a raid conducted by the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) and the CPLC at the residence of <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"117\">Armaghan Qureshi<\/b>, the prime suspect in the abduction and murder of 23-year-old <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"196\">Mustafa Amir<\/b>. During the four-hour standoff at the suspect&#8217;s bungalow in DHA, Armaghan opened fire on the police team with modern weaponry, critically injuring DSP Zulfiqar and Constable Muhammad Iqbal.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\"><b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Case Background:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"4\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"4,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Mustafa Amir Case:<\/b> Mustafa went missing from DHA on January 6, 2025. His charred remains were later discovered in a torched vehicle in Hub, Balochistan.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"4,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The Investigation:<\/b> Investigations revealed a grim story of betrayal involving drug-related disputes and a brutal assault with an iron rod at Armaghan\u2019s house before the victim was moved to Balochistan.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4,2,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"4,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Legal Status:<\/b> The prime suspect, Armaghan, and his accomplice, Shiraz, were recently indicted by an Anti-Terrorism Court in February 2026.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">The martyrdom of DSP Ahsan Zulfiqar is being mourned as a significant loss to the force.
