KARACHI (HRNW):<\/b> Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has strongly defended Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, asserting that criticism against the Mayor stems from elements who are unable to accept a “Jiyala” leading the provincial capital. Addressing a high-level meeting of the PPP, Bilawal expressed his full confidence in the Mayor\u2019s performance and announced that a major series of new development projects will soon be launched across the city. He stated that the Sindh government and the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) would silence negative propaganda through their practical performance and visible results.<\/p>\n

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also commended the Chief Minister of Sindh for his advocacy for the province\u2019s rights despite numerous challenges, noting that the PPP stands as a force for stability and “extinguishing fires” rather than inciting unrest. Highlighting the global landscape of conflict and instability, he urged all politicians to align on a single page for the greater good of the country. He reiterated that the provincial government is satisfied with the current administration in Karachi and emphasized that the city\u2019s progress remains a top priority. The PPP Chairman concluded by stating that those who target the Mayor are merely uncomfortable with the party’s democratic mandate in the city, assuring residents that the upcoming phase of construction and urban renewal would address long-standing grievances.<\/p>\n
