However, three informed sources said the Trump administration rejected efforts by Middle Eastern allies to initiate diplomatic talks. At the same time, Iran has reportedly made it clear that it will not agree to any ceasefire unless US and Israeli attacks stop, further reducing hopes for an early end to the conflict.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated that Tehran has never requested a ceasefire and has not sought negotiations. He said there is no reason to talk to the US, adding that discussions were ongoing when attacks began.
