This development follows a consultative process with the Sindh High Court and is aimed at accelerating the resolution of traffic-related legal cases.<\/p>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"2\"><b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Consumer Courts Granted Additional Jurisdiction<\/b><\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\">To ensure immediate operational status, the government has designated existing <b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"79\">Consumer Courts<\/b> in every district of the Karachi Division to act as Traffic Courts. Under this new mandate:<\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"4\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"4,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Dual Jurisdiction:<\/b> These courts will maintain their current consumer protection duties while exercising additional powers to adjudicate traffic offenses.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"4,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Legal Framework:<\/b> The decision has been implemented under the <b data-path-to-node=\"4,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"61\">Provincial Motor Vehicle (Amendment) Act 2025<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"5\"><b data-path-to-node=\"5\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Expedited Legal Proceedings<\/b><\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6\">The primary objective of this notification is to reduce the backlog of traffic-related litigation.
