WANA, SOUTH WAZIRISTAN (HRNW):<\/b> Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir<\/b>, has declared that lasting peace between Pakistan and Afghanistan is only possible if the Afghan Taliban cease their support for terrorism and militant organizations. During a high-profile visit to the frontline in Wana today, the Field Marshal reviewed the security situation along the western border and the ongoing progress of Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq<\/b>. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Field Marshal began his visit by laying a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Monument, paying rich tribute to those who sacrificed their lives in defense of the motherland, before receiving an extensive briefing on operational preparedness and the current tactical environment following recent cross-border escalations. While interacting with troops stationed at forward posts, he lauded their professional competence, operational readiness, and high morale during ongoing skirmishes, while delivering a stern message that the use of Afghan soil by “Fitna-al-Khawarij”<\/b> and “Fitna-al-Hindustan”<\/b> to orchestrate terrorism against Pakistan is “absolutely unacceptable.” He emphasized that Pakistan will take all necessary measures to eliminate any threat emerging from across the border to ensure national sovereignty and reiterated that stability on both sides remains contingent upon the Afghan Taliban abandoning their support for terrorist entities. The ISPR noted that the Field Marshal expressed full confidence in the combat readiness and integrated performance of the formations deployed along the Pak-Afghan border as the current conflict enters its eighth consecutive day.<\/p>\n
