Hyderabad (HRNW)<\/a>–<\/strong>\u00a0Dr. Sahibzada Abul Khair Muhammad Zubair, President of Jamiat Ulama-e-Pakistan and Milli Yakjehti Council, has said that the IMF, in its latest report, has openly admitted that the government has failed to implement the required reforms. Tax targets were not achieved, mismanagement in the energy sector has increased, circular debt has reached a record high, and the value of the Pakistani rupee continues to decline. All these indicators clearly prove that the current economic team has completely failed to stabilize the country.<\/p>\n

He said that the IMF\u2019s recent report has exposed the government\u2019s economic performance, showing that its policies have collapsed. Instead of providing relief to the people, the government\u2019s reliance on loans has resulted in dangerous levels of inflation, unemployment, and poverty.<\/p>\n

He added that under IMF pressure, the government made decisions whose direct burden fell on the public. The massive increase in petrol, electricity, and gas prices has crushed the poor and middle class. Businesses are closing, industries are collapsing, and the common person is suffering from severe economic hardship. IMF policies go against Pakistan\u2019s economic sovereignty, and their implementation places national institutions, resources, and the economy under foreign control \u2014 which also poses a threat to national security. Meanwhile, the ruling elite is not willing to give up their luxuries, protocols, and extravagant lifestyles.<\/p>\n

Dr. Abul Khair said that the IMF\u2019s repeated warnings regarding Pakistan\u2019s economic mismanagement are clear evidence that the country cannot move forward with these failed policies. There is still time for the government to open its eyes, accept its mistakes, and introduce genuinely public-friendly economic reforms.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that unless the ruling class frees Pakistan from the IMF\u2019s grip and adopts an independent economic policy, the country cannot progress. The solution to Pakistan\u2019s economic crisis does not lie in foreign loans, but in Islamic economic principles, self-reliance, elimination of corruption, and the establishment of a fair and just economic system. The only way to save the country from economic collapse is the implementation of Nizam-e-Mustafa \ufdfa and the enforcement of an Islamic just economic order.<\/p>\n
