Islamabad (HRNW)- In view of the deteriorating security situation in Iran, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has issued instructions for taking emergency measures to safely bring back Pakistani citizens there.<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister has directed the concerned ministries, especially the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior and other institutions, to ensure immediate assistance to Pakistanis residing in Iran and make arrangements to bring them back to Pakistan safely via Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the protection of lives and property of Pakistanis residing abroad is the top priority of the Government of Pakistan. He directed the diplomatic missions to maintain close contact with the Iranian authorities and the relevant authorities of Azerbaijan so that there is no disruption in travel facilities, transit, stay and other arrangements.<\/p>\n
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistani citizens in Iran have been urged to remain in constant contact through the embassy and consulates, follow instructions and avoid unnecessary movements. Helplines have also been activated for this purpose to provide immediate assistance in any emergency situation.<\/p>\n
Officials say that the situation in the region is being continuously monitored and additional measures will be taken as and when the need arises to evacuate more citizens. The government has assured that efforts will continue until the safe return of all Pakistanis.<\/p>\n
