The case involved an appeal by a convict facing the death penalty, but the proceedings shifted focus when the victim’s parents appeared via video link from the Lahore Registry to discuss a potential settlement.<\/p>\n

During the session, the victim’s mother expressed her desire to forgive the convict “for the sake of Allah.” However, a moment of confusion arose when the victim\u2019s father, appearing alongside her, initially failed to recognize his former wife. As the legal counsel clarified the family dynamics, it was revealed that the father had married four times. Surprised by the disclosure, Justice Hashim Kakar humorously remarked to the father, “Have you seen your face?
