Karachi (HRNW)- Development projects are in full swing in New Karachi Town. Under the \u201c1000 Streets Construction\u201d project, 10 more streets in Union Council No. 02, Sector 5A\/2 have been paved with modern paver blocks.<\/p>\n
Chairman New Karachi Town Muhammad Yousuf officially inaugurated the streets constructed with paver blocks. On this occasion, Chairman Union Council Ahmar Khan, Chairman and Vice Chairman of various union committees, town officers and a large number of area residents were present.<\/p>\n
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Chairman Muhammad Yousuf said that the construction of paver block streets is underway in different wards of Sector 5A\/2 in phases and so far about 100 streets of this sector have been completed. He said that the construction of streets has not only facilitated transportation but also significantly improved the beauty and environment of the area.<\/p>\n
He clarified that the limited resources of the town are being spent on public welfare with honesty and transparency and no political affiliation or bias is being allowed to come in the way of development works. According to him, public service is worship and this thought keeps the town administration ready to work day and night.<\/p>\n
The Chairman New Karachi Town demanded from the Sindh government to further strengthen the local government system and transfer full powers to the town level so that the basic problems of the people can be resolved immediately at the local level. He also expressed concern over the performance of the Water Board and Solid Waste Management institutions, saying that despite receiving funds, these institutions do not see any practical work, due to which the town administration has to shoulder additional responsibilities.<\/p>\n
At the end of the ceremony, the residents of the area expressed satisfaction with the development works and appreciated the efforts of Chairman New Karachi Town Muhammad Yousuf and his team and hoped that the provision of basic facilities in other areas will continue in the same way.<\/p>\n
