Karachi (HRNW)- Illegal constructions are still going on in Nazimabad No. 2 and the government instructions have not been able to affect it. According to sources, the building on Plot No. 2-F-8/17 is in blatant violation of the rules, which is being patronized by an influential builder and his alleged facilitators.
Residents of the area say that the Deputy Commissioner (DC) to Saleem has issued instructions to take action against illegal constructions and stop the work, but some officials of the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) are silent spectators, seeing the violation of the rules in broad daylight. According to locals, temporary obstacles are being put up in the name of action and later the construction work is resumed.
It can be clearly seen in the pictures that additional floors and expansion work are going on contrary to the approved map, which has affected the urban planning and also put the safety of the surrounding buildings and residents at risk.
Residents of the area have demanded that higher authorities conduct an impartial investigation and take strict action against the responsible builder and the government officials allegedly involved so that this series of illegal constructions in Nazimabad can be stopped forever.
