Karachi, Pakistan (HRNW)- Senior PTI leader Haleem Adil Sheikh has issued a stern demand for an end to the “systemic victimization” of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, calling for his immediate release alongside other detained party leaders. Speaking to the media, Sheikh asserted that the legal proceedings against Khan and his core leadership team—including Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Ejaz Chaudhary, Mahmood-ur-Rasheed, and Omar Sarfraz Cheema—are based on “fictitious and fraudulent” charges. He specifically highlighted the continued detention of female activists Falak Javed and Sanam Javed as evidence of a targeted crackdown.
Sheikh emphasized that the public has a single, unified demand: the restoration of the Constitution and the rule of law through the liberation of Imran Khan. He noted that leader Sohail Afridi had recently arrived to convey Khan’s message to the people of Sindh, urging the populace to mobilize. “If we want to ensure the independence of the judiciary and uphold the supremacy of the law, everyone must step out of their homes,” Sheikh declared, framing the current political moment as a decisive battle for truth and justice in Pakistan.
