Karachi (HRNW)- A shopkeeper named Arif has gone missing after a fire broke out at Gul Plaza, a commercial centre on MA Jinnah Road, and his family is in deep distress.
Arif’s relatives say he is a father of two and has not been contacted since the fire broke out. His uncle said that Arif said in his last call after 10:30 pm, “Save me, I am suffocating,” and then the mobile dropped from his hand.
Arif’s cousin said that Arif was working on the first floor and called at night saying that he was fighting the fire. After that, there was no contact and the mobile also went off at dawn.
The family has appealed to the authorities to intensify rescue operations for the immediate search and rescue of the missing persons.
