Gul Plaza Fire Probe Report Completed, 79 Deaths Confirmed — To Be Submitted to Sindh CM

Karachi (HRNW)- Commissioner Karachi has completed the investigation report into the horrific fire that broke out in Gul Plaza, which will be submitted to the Chief Minister Sindh. The report was prepared by a committee headed by Commissioner Karachi and Additional IG.

The report includes the causes of the fire, firefighting measures, rescue operations and information received from the victims. According to the report, the fire broke out at 10:15 pm near the flower shop on the ground floor of Gul Plaza, which spread quickly and spread to other parts of the building through air conditioning ducts.

The report states that the fire brigade received information about the fire at 10:26 pm, and the first fire tender reached the spot within 11 minutes, at 10:37. Deputy Commissioner South reached at 10:30 am while Rescue 1122 personnel were at the spot at 10:53 am.

According to the report, 79 people died in Gul Plaza, with most of the deaths occurring on the mezzanine floor. The report also includes details obtained from victims, eyewitnesses and rescue personnel.
