Karachi (HRNW)- A crucial meeting was held regarding the Gul Plaza fire under the chairmanship of Provincial Minister for Industry and Trade, Jam Ikramullah Dhanio. The meeting was attended by Provincial Minister for Local Government Nasser Hussain Shah, President of All Pakistan Traders Association Sindh Javed Qureshi, Secretary of Industry and Trade Shadiya Jafar, and other senior officials.
The discussions focused on the issues faced by the victims of the Gul Plaza tragedy. Jam Ikramullah Dhanio said that following the instructions of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, a meeting with the trader community will be held, and the next meeting will take place with the Chief Minister himself.
Trader representatives commended the Sindh government for its financial assistance to those who lost their lives in the incident. The provincial minister stated that while no compensation can replace the lives lost, every possible assistance will be provided to the victims and the injured.
The trader community demanded that legal action be taken against those responsible for negligence in the fire incident.
Nasser Hussain Shah said that the tragedy is a moment of reflection for all of us, and measures will be taken to prevent such incidents in the future.
It was decided in the meeting that a major committee will be formed to review safety arrangements at all small and large shopping centers in Karachi.
Jam Ikramullah Dhanio assured that the victims of Gul Plaza will not be left alone, and alternative arrangements for businesses are being made.
