Karachi (HRNW)- On the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, a grand rally was organized in Maripur Town, led by Chairman Humayun Muhammad Khan, Town Vice Chairman Asif Kausar and Municipal Commissioner Javed Qamar. A large number of people, local dignitaries and employees participated in the rally and expressed solidarity and support with Kashmiri Muslims.
The rally started from Neti Jetty Bridge and ended at Ghaas Bandar. During this, the participants kept the atmosphere buzzing with slogans of “Kashmir will become Pakistan” and “Azadi, Azadi”. The aim of the rally was to raise voice against India’s usurping rule and state atrocities on the Kashmiri people and to pay tribute to the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs.
Town Vice Chairman Asif Kausar, while addressing the gathering, said that there will be no compromise on Kashmir and the aim of this rally is to bring the atrocities and oppression on Kashmiri Muslims to the world, so that everyone knows that Pakistan stands with its Kashmiri brothers.
Maripur Town Chairman Humayun Muhammad Khan said that the freedom struggle of the Kashmiri people is an unprecedented movement in human history. He said that millions of Kashmiri men, women, children and elders have sacrificed their lives, but their courage is still intact today. He appealed to the country’s leadership to crush India’s nefarious intentions like last year and end India’s rule over Kashmir forever.
Municipal Commissioner Javed Qamar said that “Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan” and the purpose of observing Kashmir Day is to draw the attention of the United Nations to the ongoing atrocities on the Kashmiri people.
