Government Proposes Major Reduction in Petroleum Prices for New Year

Islamabad (HRNW)- The government is likely to significantly reduce the prices of petroleum products on the occasion of the New Year. According to the initial working paper, the prices of various products have been proposed to be reduced by up to Rs 10.60 per liter.

According to sources in the Ministry of Finance, it has been proposed to reduce the price of petrol by Rs 10.60 per liter from January 1. Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel is expected to be reduced by Rs 8.59 per liter.

According to the working paper, it has been proposed to reduce the price of kerosene by Rs 9 per liter and light diesel by Rs 6.62 per liter.

The final prices are likely to be announced on January 1 after the government’s approval.
