Ghaziabad Police Bust Dangerous “Honey Trap” Gang; Two Arrested

Lahore, Pakistan (HRNW) — Under the directives of SP Cantt Akhlaq Ullah Tarar, the Ghaziabad Police successfully dismantled a dangerous gang involved in “honey trapping” and kidnapping for ransom. The operation, led by SHO Ghaziabad Iftikhar Alam, resulted in the arrest of two key suspects, identified as Imtiaz and a woman named Zeenat.

According to SP Cantt, the suspects used an online application to lure a citizen, Sarfaraz, to their residence under the guise of a business opportunity. Once he arrived, they held him in illegal confinement, threatening him and demanding a ransom of 200,000 PKR from his brother, Nabeel, for his release.

The rescue was initiated when Nabeel reached the location provided by the kidnappers. After the suspects increased their monetary demands, Nabeel immediately alerted the police. SHO Iftikhar Alam and his team acted swiftly, safely recovering Sarfaraz and taking the culprits into custody.

In recognition of their timely action, SP Cantt has announced commendation certificates for SHO Iftikhar Alam and his team. He reaffirmed that indiscriminate operations against criminal elements will continue to ensure public safety.
