Karachi, Pakistan (HRNW) — A local court has indicted former Chairman of the Karachi Intermediate Board, Naseem Memon, Dr. Saeeduddin, and other officials in a result-tampering and forgery case related to the Intermediate examinations.
During the hearing, all the accused pleaded not guilty to the charges, prompting the court to summon prosecution witnesses for testimony. The next hearing has been scheduled for February 26.
According to the prosecution, the accused are charged with manipulating the results of the Pre-Medical examinations for 2022 and 2023, and abusing their official authority for personal or financial gain — actions that severely compromised academic merit and transparency.
The court directed the prosecution to produce witnesses at the next hearing to begin formal testimony in the case.
