Islamabad (HRNW)- The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has sentenced 271 officers involved in corruption, breach of discipline, and abuse of authority, as part of an internal accountability drive led by Director General Riffat Mukhtar Raja.
According to the FIA, 88 officers including deputy directors, assistant directors, inspectors, sub-inspectors, and other staff were dismissed from service. Additionally, 10 officials were demoted, and 168 officers received minor punishments or demotions for negligence and misconduct.
DG Riffat Mukhtar Raja emphasized that the accountability measures aim to uphold legal and professional standards, eliminate corruption, and ensure that human trafficking and other illegal activities are tackled efficiently. He warned that there is no place in the FIA for negligent or corrupt officials, and strict actions will continue against black sheep in the organization.
