Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar Calls Faiz Hameed’s Sentence a Historic Verdict

Islamabad (HNRW) — Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar has described the sentencing of Faiz Hameed as a historic decision and hailed it as a victory for truth and justice.

Speaking to a private TV channel, Tarar stated that the Pakistan Army’s accountability process is strict and transparent. He explained that Faiz Hameed’s trial lasted 15 months, during which evidence, documents, and witness statements were presented, forming the basis of the historic verdict.

The minister further noted that after retirement, Faiz Hameed served as a political advisor to PTI and actively supported the party. He confirmed that all allegations, including the events of May 9 and other incidents, were proven against him.

Atta Tarar emphasized that the verdict strengthens the rule of law and the accountability process in the country. He also stated that investigations into political interference are ongoing, and highlighted that as an advisor, Faiz Hameed had contributed to instigating unrest, with further investigations into major incidents like May 9 still underway.
