Islamabad (HRNW)– There is good news for overseas Pakistanis. According to FBR officials, a proposal to reduce the tax imposed on Pakistanis who bring mobile phones with them from abroad is under consideration.
According to statistics, Rs82 billion was collected as tax on the purchase of mobile phones this year, while Rs18 billion was collected from imported mobile phones.
Sources say that the aim of the tax reduction is to provide relief to overseas Pakistanis and make the process of registering mobile phones legally easier.
