Evidence Emerges of Russian Mi-28 Attack Helicopters in Tehran, Iran

Tehran (HRNW)- A US defense website has reported emerging evidence that Russian-made Mi-28 Havoc attack helicopters have been supplied to Iran. Recently, a video circulating on social media reportedly shows a Mi-28NE helicopter flying over Tehran, though the location and date of the recording could not be independently verified. Earlier images also appeared showing at least one Mi-28NE in Iran, likely taken at the Pars Aerospace Services Company hangar at Tehran’s Mehrabad International Airport. On January 3, Iranian journalist Mohammad Taheri posted on social media about Iran’s military capabilities, including a photo of a Mi-28 helicopter in desert camouflage. The Mi-28 combat helicopter is armed with a 30mm automatic cannon and can carry a variety of weapons, including anti-tank missiles and rockets, while its modern sensor systems include mast radar and a front-facing infrared camera.
