European Lawmakers Urge EU to Halt Complicity in Israel’s Actions

Brussels (HRNW) Several members of the European Parliament have written a strong letter to the EU’s foreign policy chief, Kaya Kalas, urging the European Union to distance itself from Israeli aggression.

According to international media, the lawmakers stated in their letter that after 789 days of genocide and 58 years of illegal occupation, it is essential for the European Parliament to send a clear and firm message that Europe can no longer remain complicit.

The letter stresses that the EU must uphold international law and end its complicity in the ongoing genocide against Palestinians.

Key demands made by the parliamentarians include:

Suspension of the EU–Israel Association Agreement

A complete arms embargo on Israel

Respect for rulings of the ICJ and ICC

Protection of Palestinian human rights organizations to ensure uninterrupted delivery of aid to Gaza

Condemnation of sanctions imposed on the International Criminal Court

European lawmakers emphasized that the EU must take decisive action to prevent further escalation and support justice for Palestinians.
