Lahore (HRNW)- Before the arrival of Ramadan, an important and bad news has come to the electricity consumers across the country. The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has applied to NEPRA for monthly fuel price adjustment. If this application is approved, the price of electricity is expected to increase by 48 paisa per unit for the next month.
CPPA stated in its application that 8 billion 487 million units of electricity were generated in December, while 8 billion 208 million units were supplied to the discos. The cost of electricity per unit in December was Rs 9.62. Consumers have been advised to be careful in using energy to avoid additional bills.
