Lahore (HRNW)- The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has issued new and strict instructions for government employees regarding participation in political activities and use of social media.
According to the issued notification, no government employee will be able to participate in political meetings, processions or gatherings. Along with this, a complete ban has been imposed on using official position or status for political influence.
The Education Department has further clarified that all government employees will not be able to share any statement, post or content in support or opposition of any political party or personality on their personal social media accounts. According to the notification, action will be taken against officers and employees who make political propaganda through social media.
The department says that the aim of these instructions is to keep government institutions free from political influences and to make employees bound by rules and regulations.
