Islamabad (HRNW)- The names of the members of parliament who have not submitted their returns have been released and it has been warned that their membership will be suspended from January 16.
According to the details, the Election Commission of Pakistan has released the names of the members of parliament who have not submitted their returns.
The Election Commission said that 26 members of the Senate have not submitted their returns, including Rana Mahmoodul Hassan, Fawzia Arshad, Hamid Khan, Abid Sher Ali, Jam Saifullah, Talha Mahmood and Murad Saeed.
125 members of the National Assembly have also not submitted their returns, including the names of Amir Muqam, Mubarak Zeb, Babar Nawaz, Dawar Kundi, Sheikh Aftab, Abdul Qadir Gilani and Tahir Aurangzeb.
Other important members include Musa Gilani, Tariq Bashir Cheema, Owais Leghari, Nafisa Shah, Abdul Ghafoor Haideri and Akhtar Mengal.
According to the report, there are 159 members in the Punjab Assembly, 62 members in the Sindh Assembly, 26 members in the Balochistan Assembly and 48 members in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
The Election Commission has warned that returns should be submitted by January 15, otherwise the membership of the members will be suspended from January 16.
The Election Commission says that this step is necessary to ensure transparency and accountability and all members have been instructed to act in accordance with the laws.
