ECJ Challenges Denmark’s “Ghetto Law” as Potentially Discriminatory

Copenhagen – Denmark (HRNW)Europe’s top court has ruled that Denmark’s “Ghetto Law,” targeting neighborhoods with high immigrant populations, could breach EU anti-discrimination laws.

The European Court of Justice declared that the policy risks violating the right to equal treatment and fair housing. Human rights groups hailed the ruling as a major step toward dismantling legal frameworks that stigmatize minority communities.
