Dera Ismail Khan: Security Forces Kill 2 Key TTP Commanders in Khoy Pirod Operation

Dera Ismail Khan (HRNW) In a major operation by security forces in Darazinda, village Khoy Pirod, two key commanders of the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed.

The deceased terrorists have been identified as Abu Darda alias Hakim and Ijaz Ahmed alias Abu Dajana. Sources said Abu Darda, a resident of Muzaffargarh, had recently appeared in a video inviting members of the banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan to join TTP.

Ijaz Ahmed, a resident of Tunsa, was affiliated with Tehrik-e-Taliban Kashmir. He was also known as a close associate of Elyas Kashmiri of Harakat-ul-Jihad-i-Islami and the head of the 313 Brigade.

Security officials stated that the elimination of both key commanders has delivered a severe blow to TTP. According to sources, the two had relocated to Afghanistan with their families some time ago and continued their operations from there.
