Lahore (HRNW)- Flight operations at Lahore Airport have been suspended for the past 8 hours due to dense fog in the city, while various international flights have been diverted to Islamabad.
According to airport officials, flights from Lahore to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah and Karachi have been canceled due to the fog, while the schedule of other domestic and international flights is also being severely affected.
Due to dense fog, traffic flow has been affected in many areas of the city, as a result of which the motorway authorities have closed several sections. According to reports, the M2 motorway from Balkhsar to Kot Momin towards Lahore is closed, while the M3 from Faizpur to Rajana has been closed for traffic due to fog.
The traffic department has directed citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and to take special precautions during travel in case of reduced visibility.
