Davos (HRNW)- The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that the “Board of Peace” formed by US President Donald Trump cannot replace the United Nations.
Speaking at the World Economic Forum, the Chinese delegate said that the UN plays a central role in ensuring global peace and the stability of the international system.
He noted that protectionist policies have posed serious challenges to globalization, but China is providing stability and assurance amid global uncertainty.
The spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that China is not only ready to remain the world’s factory but will also continue to play its role as a global market.
He emphasized that a multilateral system is essential for solving global problems, and the UN is the foundation of this system.
The spokesperson further stated that China stands with the UN’s international system and, regardless of global circumstances, Beijing will continue to support the UN’s role.
He added that China has no intention of entering a race for influence with any country.
