Beijing (HRNW)- China has called on the United States to immediately release Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, expressing deep concern over their reported arrest.
In a statement, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that the arrest of Maduro and his wife constitutes a clear violation of international law. Beijing urged Washington to ensure their personal safety and to secure their immediate release.
China also emphasized the importance of respecting state sovereignty and adhering to international legal principles.
