Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Launches Community Health Inspectors Project, Empowers Women for Punjab’s Progress

Lahore, Pakistan (HRNW)- Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched the Community Health Inspectors Project, emphasizing that when the women of Punjab — mothers, sisters, and daughters — step into action, no one can defeat the province.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, she announced that 55,000 community health inspectors will begin work across Punjab to combat diseases through preventive care rather than reactive measures. She stressed that the government will now reach people’s homes to promote health awareness and early prevention.

Maryam Nawaz described the project as a mission, not just a job, highlighting that the inspectors are “the eyes, ears, and pride of Punjab.” She noted that the initiative has already provided 25,000 jobs, with salaries set at Rs. 50,000, and promised increases based on performance.

The Chief Minister also shared that the program will create digital health profiles for every household, allowing for better tracking and treatment of diseases. She praised the dedication of female health workers and said their efforts will transform Punjab’s healthcare landscape.
