Islamabad (HRNW)– The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has officially launched the ‘Benazir Hunarmand Program’ to empower the beneficiaries and their families economically by making them skilled. The program aims to enable the poor and needy people to earn a decent living by teaching them skills.

According to officials, the program will provide free technical and vocational training, monthly stipend, graduation bonus, certificates and job opportunities to the beneficiaries. The training programs include various courses including IT, health, hotel management, construction, beauty services, fashion and textiles, the duration of which is set at 3 to 6 months.
Conditions for joining the program
According to the official website of BISP:
Only beneficiaries included in the dynamic registry of BISP or their families are eligible for admission to the program.
The minimum educational qualification for admission has been set at Matric.
The age limit of the applicants is 18 to 40 years.
The web portal (hunarmand.bisp.gov.pk) is for registration only, after registration the final selection will be made after the applications are scrutinized.
Only one person from a household will be included in the program.
Officials say the program aims to reduce poverty, increase employment opportunities and make the youth economically independent.
