Karachi (HRNW): Bangladeshi scholar and academic Professor Sadiq Muhammad Yaqoob, a graduate of Al-Azhar University and a professor at the Islamic University of Bangladesh, who had specially arrived in Karachi to participate in the “Aafia Movement Volunteer Convention” held on Sunday, paid a farewell visit to the residence of Dr. Fauzia Siddiqui in Gulshan-e-Iqbal prior to his return to Bangladesh.
During the meeting, Professor Sadiq congratulated Dr. Fauzia Siddiqui on the successful and well-organized Aafia Volunteers Convention and expressed his gratitude for inviting him to attend the event. On the occasion, he also conveyed prayers and best wishes for the early release of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui.
It is noteworthy that the participation of a Bangladeshi scholar and educationist in the convention and his involvement in efforts for Dr. Aafia Siddiqui’s release reflect a positive gesture of Pak–Bangladesh friendship and goodwill. Professor Sadiq also highly praised the hospitality of the Pakistani people and their spirit of solidarity and compassion.
