Dhaka (HRNW)– Anti-India protests have intensified across the country after the killing of young revolutionary student leader Sharif Usman Hadi in Bangladesh. Protesters set fire to the Awami League office and offices of media organizations in different cities.
According to a Geo News report, angry protesters took to the streets in large numbers in the capital Dhaka, vandalized government and private offices and blocked important highways. Reports of clashes between protesters and security forces are also being received at different places.
During the protest, the protesters raised slogans in favor of Sharif Usman Hadi and announced that the protest will continue until the killers are arrested and justice is served. The protesters say that those responsible for the attack on Hadi should be brought to justice immediately.
According to sources, in Rajshahi, angry people also set fire to the residence of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, while additional police personnel have been deployed.
The situation is tense and security is on high alert in different cities.
