Toronto (HRNW)- Amnesty International Canada’s annual “Write for Rights” campaign is in full swing this month, with students and civic groups in Toronto and other cities actively writing letters in support of individuals unjustly imprisoned around the world. Among those highlighted in the campaign are a photojournalist from Myanmar and an environmental activist from Norway.
The initiative underscores the power of collective action, demonstrating that a simple handwritten letter can bring global attention to human rights abuses and, in many cases, help save lives. Participants are urging authorities worldwide to ensure justice, fair trials, and the protection of fundamental human rights.
