Toulouse (HRNW)– Airbus has identified an industrial quality issue affecting the fuselage panels of several A320 family aircraft, impacting the delivery schedule of some newly manufactured planes. The company has clarified that aircraft already in service are not affected by this defect.

In November, Airbus delivered 72 aircraft, falling short of analysts’ expectations and bringing the total deliveries for the year to 657. Despite the setback, the company still aims to reach its ambitious target of 820 aircraft in 2025, including a record 160 deliveries in December alone.
Industry analysts are divided — some believe Airbus can still meet its goal, while others caution that the slow pace of deliveries and ongoing technical issues may make achieving the target difficult.
The company is also dealing with additional technical challenges, such as the unexpected return of planes over weekends due to a software glitch, creating further pressure on operations.
