Karachi (HRNW)– A bizarre theft occurred in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Karachi, where an accused entered a home on the pretext of looking for a parrot and snatched two mobile phones, including one from a 7-year-old girl, before fleeing.
According to initial reports, the incident took place on Wednesday morning in a residential apartment in Block One. The accused rang the doorbell and claimed that a parrot had entered the gallery, asking the woman for a stick to catch it. While she went to get the stick, the man entered the flat, took the girl’s mobile phone, grabbed another from the bed, and pushed the girl to the ground when she resisted. The accused fled when the mother entered the room.
Police have received a report and are actively searching for the suspect, while the family has demanded his immediate arrest.
