Karachi University, Ehsan Trust Join Hands to Provide Interest-Free Loans for Students

Karachi (HRNW)- A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the University of Karachi and Ehsan Trust to provide interest-free loans (Qarz-e-Hasna) to students. Under this agreement, students facing financial difficulties will be given loans of 70 to 80 percent for their fees and educational expenses.

According to Ehsan Trust, more than 430 students have benefited from this scheme since 2011, while with the addition of 30 more students in the near future, the total amount will exceed Rs 47 million. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi described this initiative as an important step in the educational path of students.
