Mexico City (HRNW)- A 6.5-magnitude earthquake has struck Mexico, killing at least two people and injuring several others.
The earthquake also caused landslides on several highways, severely affecting traffic and transportation.
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum had started a press conference to brief on the situation in the affected areas, but it was postponed for some time due to security reasons.
Due to the effects of the earthquake, local administrations have advised citizens to be cautious and avoid unnecessary travel. Rescue teams have been immediately dispatched to the affected areas.
